WE HAVE RECEIVED EXCITING NEWS THAT WE ARE NOW ABLE TO RENT GOLF CARTS TO ALL PLAYERS.

While this is great news, we still have to operate in a safe manner and will be limiting carts to one person per cart unless you are from the same household.  We have a limited number of golf carts so they will be given out on a first come, first serve basis.

We hope during this time to provide a FUN and SAFE escape from the current reality. We welcome your support of current social distancing standards at all times with other golfers. We don’t want to go backwards in this fight.

Flag sticks are to remain in the holes and do not use bunker rakes if out there(smooth sand with your feet).

We are frequently sanitizing high touch points & we have hand sanitizer available upon request. We will continue to undertake the precautions and best practices recommended by public health experts.

After talking with local law authorities and looking further into the Governor’s executive order we have determined that MEMBERS of Winding Creek can access the property and play golf starting April 22nd.  At this time we do not believe that we can be open to any public play and hope to open soon for public play.

In adhering to the executive order we ask that MEMBERS be aware of the following restrictions while playing:

STRICT SOCIAL DISTANCING. Due to only being able to have staff on premises to perform essential tasks (such as security of who is accessing the property) the golf course is not allowed to monitor social distancing. Individual golfers can be fined by law enforcement if you are not following the social distancing standards set forth by the executive order(minimum 6 feet apart). THIS IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

-GOLF SHOP IS CLOSED. This includes the golf shop, restrooms, golf carts, pull carts, and driving range.

-WALKING ONLY IS ALLOWED.

-FLAG STICKS ARE TO REMAIN IN AT ALL TIMES. Pool noodles have been added the the cups to help retrieve your golf ball with no touch to the flag stick.

-PLEASE RESPECT OTHER GOLFERS AND THE GOLF COURSEGolf course staff is not available to take tee times or monitor play so please be respectful of other golfers on the course. Please help us in taking good care of the golf course in replacing divots and repairing ball marks.

PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF US TRYING TO COMPLY WITH THE GOVERNORS ORDERS AT THIS TIME ONLY ALLOWING MEMBERS TO GOLF.  CLICK HERE FOR CURRENT AVAILABLE MEMBERSHIPS FOR PURCHASE ONLINE.

Due to the ever changing nature of this virus, access to the property is subject to change and without any notice.

We are continuing to maintain the facility as well as the course. Let’s all do our part to help in these challenging times. We want nothing more than to have you all back out to the course as soon as possible.

This was just posted on Thursday evening 3/26 to the 2020-21 Executive Order Q&A.

Q: Are golf courses allowed to stay open?

A: No. While EO 2020-21 contemplates outdoor activity, opening a golf course to the public does not fall under the designation of critical infrastructure.  Consequently, a golf course may not designate employees as critical infrastructure employees and authorize them come to work.

Winding Creek will be shut down until we are notified that it is safe to reopen for play.  We appreciate your patience and hope to see you all soon!

We Are Open, Focusing on Golfer Safety

After consulting with local law enforcement Winding Creek will be open starting tomorrow until we hear differently from the State of Michigan. Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our staff & golfers. In light of this, we ask you to comply with the following regulations:

ALL TEE TIMES NEED TO BE BOOKED AND PREPAID FOR ONLINE.  If you have any questions please call the golf shop and we can help you with the process.  This will help limit the number of contact points.

The clubhouse will be CLOSED. This includes bathroom facilities. Please come to the sliding door on the west side of the building to check in(by the cart barn).

Walking is encouraged, but a limited number golf carts will be available with only 1 person per cart unless from the same household.

Maintain social distance standards at all times with other golfers.

Flag sticks are to remain in the holes and do not use bunker rakes(smooth sand with your feet).

We are frequently sanitizing high touch points & we have hand sanitizer available upon request. We will continue to undertake the precautions and best practices recommended by public health experts.

We hope during this time to provide a FUN and SAFE escape the current reality. We will keep you updated via email & our Facebook page as this situation continues to evolve.
